MISSION Like most of you, I follow daily
routines that are geared toward making my day go, one hopes, smoothly and with an eye toward suffering the fewest number of
situations involving any form of aggravation. However, it seems clear to me that one cannot avoid the sometimes infuriating
circumstances in which one finds oneself while conducting this daily business called life.
I'm not a big shopper, but it is necessary to visit a number of establishments in a day as a matter of course, thereby
exposing myself to the possibility of being subjected to the aforementioned aggravation (what the Scots call "aggro").
It seems that I cannot leave the house without suffering service that is poor at best, and verging on "criminal"
at the other end of the spectrum. On a regular basis, I suffer rudeness, incompetence, overbearing customer
service people, customer service people who are not to be found, things that don't work as they are expected to do - like
the self-serve checkout machine at Shaw's Supermarket - people who work hard at avoiding work rather than just do it...the
list is endless. I've decided to name the establishments who continually fail to meet my understanding of what constitutes satisfactory
standards. My only intent is to give them the chance to improve their customer service.
